Many of my colored pencil artworks stem from my history as a graphic designer in the commercial art fields. During my years of owning and managing Kaleidoscope Art, Inc. I, and my staff, created Logo Designs for many companies, corporate and product identity images and for neighborhood organizations and non-profit entities. We were known for many kinds of Commercial Art in service to Advertising Agencies, Retail outlets, Auto Dealerships and Real Estate Firms. Logo designs and identity programs became a large part of our portfolio over the years. We are grateful for the opportunities that came our way.
So now, in retirement, I lean on my design experiences in an attempt to create frame-able art based on my love of trees and nature. Many of the images in this website have really basic, geometric shapes. Circles, Rectangles, Triangles and so on become the starting point for detailed, (what I call) fantasy trees. All of the designs are original from my own development and sometimes just plain whimsy. These unique drawings help me to express a fascination with nature in a somewhat loose alternate imagining. Are all pine trees triangles? Can trees really be just a Ball or two? Can trees be Blue and Orange and Red and Purple or are they mostly green? Grid patterns help me to setup continuous rhythms of repeating shapes and unexpected compositions. I have attached some of my works here that have been sold to show a variety of the possibilities in graphic design as fine art.

It is important here to state that all of my designs are one off. All Originals. I do not duplicate designs nor do I make copies in other sizes for more sales. If you choose to purchase a piece, you will have the only one.
